Northbrook 10K

Fast Finish Guaranteed

One of the region's longest standing 10K races returns this summer...

One of Coventry's longest-standing 10K road races will return on 7 July. Based in Allesley on the western outskirts of Coventry, the Northbrook 10K is now in its 20th year and will this year be joined by a Kids Fun Run.

The race takes place around the Allesley to Corley area in Coventry over a course that is described as undulating and very scenic. The finish is at a lower elevation than the start - so you can look forward to a fast final 3K! The race is over one lap on, mainly, rural roads.

The Fun Run is for children up to 15 years of age and involves a 2K out and back run along Washbrook Lane Road which is closed for the duration of the run. Entries for the Fun Run will be taken on the day and is £3 cash only.

After the race there will be cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks available to purchase at the Scout Hut and all 10K race finishers will receive a medal and a memento. This race has a firm emphasis on giving back and supporting local charities, organisers say: "In 2024 we are supporting University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity as our main beneficiary of surplus proceeds from the race."

In 2023 more than 500 runners took part in the 19th edition of the race with near perfect conditions on offer. The winner was Coventry Godiva Harrier Jamie Hnatushka in 33:53 with Kelly Edwards (Leamington C&A C) taking the 1st women’s prize in 36:52. For those who like some stats on speed, the course records are 31:27 set by Mark Powell in 2008 and 35:56, set by Kim Fawke in 2012.
