Don't be a turkey this festive season. Get Santa-suited and sign up now...
Last month we marked your Christmas calendar with the early advent of Santa-suited runs on Nice Work's programme in your area – click here for those details. Now we can (d)elve further into these festive events with all the entry info so you won't miss out on the chance to don the famous red suit and beard which will have such a negative impact on your PB!
Back in October, we didn't want to give you all the gifts of the season as it was a bit too early. Now the temperature has dropped and it's feeling a lot more wintry, we feel it's time to finally unwrap the full programme...
The immensely popular Southend Rudolph Run on Sunday 15 December is a flat and fast seasonal 5-miler run along the Promenade, with an accurately measured course. There are festive sweet treats on offer plus, of course, the famous mince pie welcome waiting for you at the finish. Run in Christmas garb to make Santa proud and you'll have a chance of winning the prize for the best-dressed runner!
It's back to Nice Work's home county of Sussex for the traditional Christmas Pudding Dash on Saturday 21 December. Now in its 19th year, this is a 5-mile, multi-terrain race held over one lap of undulating fields and footpaths in and around the farmland and woods of the tranquil village of Pett. This is a cross-country event so expect some wet and muddy conditions, but you can also expect bags of fun to boot!
The following day the festive action moves to Betteshanger Country Park near Deal, Kent. The Kent Christmas Cracker is another 5-mile run but this race is on a flat, two-lap, traffic-free course on tarmac paths entirely within the park. Along with the other featured races, there will be a supporting Fun Run and all finishers will receive a seasonally-themed, bespoke medal.
You can enter all of these races via the runABC South race listing...
