Beckenham Place Park

Be among the UK Running Series pioneers

New race series kicks off at beautiful Beckenham Place Park

This trail simply shouts 'come and run me'. It's part of the 237 acres of ancient woodland, rolling hills, a beautiful lake, and several miles of pathways and trails that form Beckenham Place Park, the largest green space in the London Borough of Lewisham.

runABC South readers are invited to be among the 150 runners who are exclusively allowed to take part in this first event of the Greater London Challenge, presented by UK Running Series on Sunday 6th March 2022. It truly is a heartening sign to see new races and event series joining the calendar as we move steadily but surely out of the Covid pandemic.

UK Running Series is spearheaded by the team behind international company Z Adventures Europe, specialising in bespoke marathon running adventures in over 40 countries spanning six continents. The company now has ambitious plans to organise events in over 80 counties throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Beckenham Place Run situated just 20 minutes from central London and easily accessible by public transport, offers multi-terrain, fully-signed and marshaled courses of 5K, 10K or 21K in one of London's newest parks. The location's facilities include a public car park near to the start/finish, toilets and a cafe.

Race organisation details include fully stocked, vegetarian and vegan-friendly aid stations and a custom-designed finisher's medal, with the opportunity to add to your collection of bling by going on to contest the five-race Greater London Challenge series.

Entry fees run from £12 to £25 according to distance. For full details and entries visit the UK Running Series Beckenham Place Run site now.
