Don't Let This 10K Pass You By

There's a brand new 10K for Cheshire this February...

There's a brand new 10K coming to Cheshire in 2023, and we're sure this is one you won't want to 'pass' on! Organised by Congleton-based running club - Boalloy Runners, the Bypass 10K is set for 12 February and with a number already signed up for this inaugural outing, it's looking like it's going to become a classic.

The 10K race will take place, as its name would suggest, on the new(ish) Congleton bypass which was opened in April 2021. The route is all road and undulating, we have it on good authority that it is 'definitely not flat'.

Every runner will have the option of a t-shirt or a 'no-frills' entry to keep costs down. And all proceeds from the event are going to local Congleton charity, Crossroads Together, who are dedicated to providing information, advice and practical support to unpaid carers of all ages and the people they care for.

News of the event has pleased runners in the area, with Julie Tuck commenting on Facebook: "Well done to everyone concerned with getting the event ready."

If you are looking for a running club in the Congleton area, Boalloy is a friendly group with members from all age ranges. Any kind of runner is welcome, from those just wanting to keep fit to those of a competitve nature. The club's members compete in many races across the Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire counties, in both road and cross-country and it is assumed that runners from across these regions will also be interested in taking part in this inaugural 10K.
