March To The Meadows
A springtime marathon event in Edinburgh, time to start planning now...
Early bird tickets are now on sale for Edinburgh's Meadows Marathon 2025 so act quickly and don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to take part in one of the east coast's biggest charity events which will take place on 2 March.
Organised by Edinburgh University students, the Meadows Marathon is a classic event in the city having its first outing back in 2007. Taking place in the beautiful Meadows area of the city, the event provides a unique experience to explore the city's natural beauty while being part of a vibrant and supportive running community.
But it's not just a marathon distance on offer as organisers remind us: "We have races for every ability level, from our 5K to the full marathon. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, we have a race for you! Get your friends together and form a team for our relay race or challenge yourself with one of our longer distances."
Meadows Marathon, an initiative of Edinburgh Students’ Charities Appeal (ESCA), is an annual student-organised running event held in the Meadows in Edinburgh to raise money for local, national and international charities. One of ESCA's largest initiatives, the event has raised over £200,000 for charity since its inception in 2007.
To seal the deal - all finishers will receive a medal and have the option to choose between receiving a t-shirt or planting a tree with Trees Not Tees. Over the past four years 793 trees have been planted through this partnership.
