Malvern Hills Trail Half Marathon

Trail Half With a View

A trail half marathon awaits in the Malvern Hills this spring...

The Malvern Hills Trail Half Marathon will return on 25 April with runners set to tackle a challenging and scenic 13 mile route across one of the Midlands’ most iconic landscapes. Based at Regents Theological College beside the Sugarloaf Café, the event offers a welcoming race HQ with refreshments available from early morning including hot drinks, cakes and snacks for runners and supporters.

The off road course heads straight out onto the Malvern Hills, taking in a varied and hilly mix of woodland trails, open fields and rolling countryside. Runners travel south towards Wynd’s Point before climbing onto the ridge line and following it north, with expansive views on both sides, before descending back down towards the finish.

Although the terrain is testing, organisers stress that the event is designed to be inclusive, with no official cut off time in place. The race has built a loyal following, with runners travelling from across the UK each year to enjoy both the route and the friendly, supportive atmosphere created by volunteers and marshals.

There will be well stocked aid stations along the course, including a halfway feed and water stop, as well as additional stations and toilets roughly every three miles. Staffed checkpoints will also be positioned at key points on the route to support runners throughout.

Organisers told us: "If you want to run with us bear in mind that places are limited and there will be no entries on the day, so be quick and secure your spot in advance!"
