runABC is in the process of upgrading and improving its online service so you might encounter the odd glitch over the next week or so but rest assured we’re working on them and the new site will be a fantastic resource for our running community.

Leeds Girls Can Ambassadors

Leeds Girls strip off for 10K

Leeds Girls Can ambassadors will ditch their clothes for this Sunday’s Asda Foundation Leeds 10K and complete their race in just their underwear. They will do so as part of their body confidence movement, which aims to abolishing the ‘ideal body type’ and showing women they can be comfortable in their own skin.

Kitted out in sponsored Runderwear, the team will tackle a route which will takes them through the city of Leeds and out onto Kirkstall Road, before finishing with the cheering crowds on The Headrow.

Not-for-profit organisation, Run For All, will be kicking off this year’s Asda Foundation Leeds 10K, which brings together thousands of people who work to raise money for great causes and with the help of Leeds Girls Can raises awareness of campaigns that make a huge impact to local people.

Kirsty Midgley, Leeds Girls Can Ambassador, said: “Body empowerment and positivity is such an important part of the work we do. Every woman should feel comfortable in their own skin and our fabulous team running this year’s event are brilliant ambassadors for this movement.”

Kirsty continued: “We’re proud to be the voice of women and so grateful we have the opportunity to show the city of Leeds that we can complete challenges like the 10K, and radiate positivity and confidence while doing it.”
