Leeds Puts The Fun In Fundraising

Leeds 10K celebrates 15 years of fun and fundraising this July...

There's just under a month to go until the 2022 staging of the Leeds 10K which is scheduled for Sunday 3 July. This year’s race promises to be extra special as it’s the 15 year anniversary of this much-loved 10K! Over the last 15 amazing years, thousands of runners have carried on the legacy of the Leeds 10K’s founder, Jane Tomlinson, by getting active, fundraising for a huge range of charities, and celebrating the city of Leeds.

Indeed, the Leeds 10K is where it all began as Jane Tomlinson's original vision. Having raised £1.8 million for charity while battling terminal cancer, in 2006 she knew her time left to fundraise was limited and so she decided to set up the Leeds 10K to continue the fundraising vehicle for charities that she had started.

Since then the 10K has grown to be one of the highlights of the city's event calendar and is a hugely popular, inclusive and supported race for participants of all abilities. In many ways the Leeds 10K captures the 'can do' attitude of its founder.

This year, Run For All is excited to mark the occasion with a brand new route through the city. Participants will start off at the University of Leeds and run through Headingley, Meanwood, past Leeds Arena, and back to the Leeds Art Gallery in the city centre.

The race is sure to be vibrant, atmospheric, and show off the best of the city’s sights. Whether you’re fundraising, aiming for a new personal best, or just trying something new, you'll love everything about the Leeds 10K.
