Lace Up For Lasswade
10 miler an early-season fitness test for spring marathon hopefuls...
Lasswade AC has confirmed that its Ten Mile Road Race will take place on 1 March 2026, offering runners a classic early-season challenge on one of Scotland’s most established routes. The event is widely regarded as an ideal test ahead of a spring marathon, particularly London or Edinburgh. Its distance make it a perfect benchmark for anyone looking to assess their fitness before stepping up to 26.2 miles.
The race takes place to the west of Rosewell, seven miles south of Edinburgh, and features a demanding 10 mile loop through quiet rural roads. The course includes rolling inclines, a steep climb out of Roslin Glen at two miles and long sweeping downhill sections leading back into Rosewell. For 2026, organisers have made a small adjustment to the final mile, which will now take runners past Whitehill House.
This year’s Early Bird offer is especially worth taking advantage of, with prices held at 2025 levels until 31 December. Organisers say: "With the cost of almost everything creeping up these days, it is a chance to secure a great-value race entry!"
Ferguson Park, a short walk from the line, will offer changing, shower and toilet facilities. All finishers will also be welcomed with free refreshments at Whitehill Welfare FC, where the prizegiving ceremony will take place.
Awards will include individual and team prizes, and several spot prizes will be given out. A £100 bonus is on offer for a winning time under 52 minutes for men or under 59 minutes for women. The Whitehill House Trophy will go to the first jogscotland runner to finish, and every finisher will receive a medal.
