Grimsthorpe Gallop is back with a sparkle

It's a GO for Grimsthorpe Gallop!

SBR Events have a treat in store for runners at this year’s Grimsthorpe Gallop on Sunday 13 June. An iridescent medal that changes colour when viewed from different angles will bring a smile to everyone’s faces and just what's needed after the year we’ve had.

This medal isn’t the only attractive feature: the event is held in the private grounds of Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire and its oak forest, lake and tree lined avenues are well worth a run and there are a few undulations to mix things up a bit. The courses, especially the grassed paths are ideal for canicross and the variety of terrain and views will appeal to Nordic Walking entrants.

The four races: 5K, 10K, 10 Miles and Half Marathon mean there is something for everyone whatever their age or ability. The 5K is perfect for families; the 10K is everyone’s favourite distance or for those wanting to go further, there is 10 Miles or Half Marathon. Even better if conditions are dry, sunny and warm that weekend.

The final step in the road map out of lockdown is on 21 June when all remaining restrictions are to be lifted but until then, Covid guidelines still apply with participant safety the priority. Details of these will be emailed to participants before race day.

The finishers colourful and uplifting medal is In keeping with the spirit of optimism for the future and the design has already received a ‘thumbs up’ on social media.

Here's to a welcome return!
