Alsager 5 and Knighton 20 Race Medals

2023 Alsager 5 and Knighton 20 open for business

Unveiling of next year’s NSRRA races at VeloRunner.

On Saturday (24 September), the VeloRunner store in Stone, Staffordshire hosted the launch of the 2023 Alsager 5 and Knighton 20 and Relay. There was a 10% discount if runners booked these races before online entries opened.

Whilst some people are thinking about Christmas, others are looking further ahead to next year and the NSRRA programme of league races. It’s never too late to plan your schedule as many of these races fill up quickly.

Race 1 in the programme is the VeloRunner Alsager 5 (February 5) which is early in the season and a good test for fitness levels after training over the winter. It always has a large turnout of runners from local clubs and further afield who are attracted to the fast, flat 5 mile course and the more than likely chance of a PB.

Race 2 is the VeloRunner Knighton 20 (March 12), a scenic run along quiet country lanes on the Staffordshire-Shropshire border. It is ideal for any runner preparing for a spring marathon or wanting to try the distance for the first time. There is a 3 Stage Relay for male/female/mixed teams from all walks of life.

Virtual options are available.

Bespoke medals for finishers at the Alsager 5 and Knighton 20 and, new for 2023, a combination medal if runners complete both races (this includes the relay).

At the launch, the tea, coffee and cakes were appreciated by those who signed up and secured their place in these popular events.
