Modern Day Heroes Needed At Culloden

The Culloden Run is back this October and CHSS are looking for heroes to take on the challenge...

Dig your kilts out and prepare to battle like a Jacobite because the Culloden Run is back for 2022 and Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) is looking for some modern day heroes to take on the challenge, remembering our ancestors and helping those in need today.

The event, this year scheduled for 23 October, is a popular race in the Scottish calendar thanks to its scenic, historic course and top notch race organisation from CHSS. A previous participant commenting: "Brilliant course with stunning views, good brief over the tannoy for everyone to hear and a start close to the visitor centre so able to shelter till just before gun went, which was brilliant considering the weather!"

There are two distances on offer for those keen to pick up the Jacobite banner - first up is the Culloden 10K, which is an exciting, fast, mostly flat route which passes around the quiet perimeter roads of Culloden Battlefield.

Those looking for more of a challenge can take on the 17.46K route which passes through stunning scenery and by historic landmarks; Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, River Nairn and the awesome River Nairn Viaduct.

You can register now for just £25 and choose whether you want to tackle the 17.46K or 10K. You’ll receive a digital fundraising pack to help you get ready for the event, as well as a special medal and goody bag on race day. All proceeds from the run go to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, making sure people across Scotland get the vital support they need when they return home from hospital.
