Real-world fitness app official partner for Virtual Winter Run
Fully immersive race day experience for 10K runners
Innovation is on the move as fitness app Auro teams up with the Virtual Winter Run 2021 to deliver a memorable race day experience and a much-needed boost to people’s physical and mental wellbeing - both of which have taken a battering during this pandemic. This state of the art app will get participants 10K-ready for Sunday 7 February.
Auro acts like a running coach, providing training plans as part of a free, 30-day trial which include strength & conditioning workouts, mobility classes and outdoor sessions. These are designed for all abilities from beginner to intermediate and advanced and customised to the runner’s fitness level. It is also interactive, enabling the runner to monitor their sessions, i.e. pace, distance, HR, route and elevation.
This high-tech training programme culminates in the Virtual Winter Run 2021 organised by Human Race Events which raises funds for Cancer Research UK. The live race is a popular one and oversubscribed each year but the switch to a virtual format means anyone can enter from anywhere and support Cancer Research UK. The 10K run offers something to aim for during this tough winter period and there is the opportunity to try a state of the art app for free.
Participants fundraise for Cancer Research UK, challenge family or friends or have a go at the training challenges and win virtual badges.
More information about the app can be found at the Auro website.
The Virtual Winter Run 2021 is free to enter.
