Chester Triple Series Runners

Check Out Chester's Bling!

Take on this triple race challenge and earn yourself some mighty fine bling!

The Chester Triple Medal Series is back for another sensational year and if you are a runner who loves the bling then this is the challenge for you as the highlight of taking part in all three of Active Leisure Event's Chester races is that you become the owner of an extra-large, extra-gold medal!

The Triple Series is an ideal, enjoyable target for runners looking to progress through the three main distances (10k, Half Marathon and Marathon) in one season or set the ultimate fundraising challenge. First up is the MBNA Chester 10K on 10 March, followed by the ESSAR Chester Half Marathon on 19 May and finishing the trio of events is the MBNA Chester Marathon or Metric Marathon which this year is scheduled for 6 October.

The staggered race dates provide runners with the perfect training schedule allowing them to increase through the race distances over the course of the year and the good news is that there is still around one month until the multi-award winning Chester 10K kicks it all off. Chester's only city-based 10K, this event is often considered the best city centre 10K in the North West.

You've then got a little longer to get yourself race ready for a spring half marathon. The Chester Half is one of the UK’s longest established and most highly regarded 13.1 mile events with a predominately flat city and rural route that is run entirely on closed roads.

The October marathon event is multi-award winning. Organisers say: "We have developed an enviable reputation with runners of all levels and abilities. As the sixth largest marathon in the UK and 3 times winner of the UK’s Best Marathon, it is also the only marathon in the UK that spans across both England and Wales. The route takes in the beautiful surrounding landscapes and villages that both countries have to offer."

All three of Active Leisure Events' race courses are perfect for first timers and seasoned pros and in 2024, the England Age Group Masters Championships will be hosted at all the events which will only add to an already unforgettable atmosphere.
