The Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 10K is one of Britain's largest running events, bringing thousands of participants onto closed roads through the heart of the capital.
First held in 2015, the event follows a flat road course through central London, with runners starting near Trafalgar Square and passing landmarks including St Paul's Cathedral. The route combines famous city streets with live music, winter themed entertainment and larger than life characters, including penguins, polar bears and huskies.
The event welcomes runners of all abilities, with staggered start waves based on estimated finishing times. Participants are chip timed and receive a distinctive finisher medal. The London Winter Run is delivered in partnership with Cancer Research UK, encouraging participants to raise funds for cancer research while enjoying one of the capital's most distinctive running experiences.
