Penguin Party is ready to welcome 25,000 to the capital's coolest 10K

Cancer Research London Winter Run 10K is the only race where PB stands for Polar Bear!

Famed for its larger-than-life event characters, party atmosphere, and plentiful live music, Cancer Research UK London Winter Run has become an annual tradition for thousands of runners.

The 25,000 places are always snapped up quickly, with many using this as perfect motivation to keep running through the winter months. Entries to the capital’s coolest winter running event on Sunday 5th February 2023 are available right now and you can P-P-P-Pick up an early bird discount to join the Penguin Party if you sign up this month. Additionally, groups of four and eight can also secure entry at a discounted rate.

This much-loved event will once again start in central London and follow a 10K course that weaves past many of the city’s most familiar landmarks, such as the National Gallery, Nelson's Column, St Paul's Cathedral, The Gherkin, the London Eye, and Big Ben. The course is flat and has closed roads, making it ideal for runners of all abilities and 10K first-timers.

This year's champions were Ben Felton (32:14) and Roxanne Heristchian (38:05) but the overall winner was charity. Cancer Research UK is the largest charitable funder of cancer research in the world and will stay at the forefront of the global fight against cancer. Their determination to beat cancer hasn't faltered and they are more focused than ever on their ambition of seeing three in four people survive their cancer by 2034.

Cancer Research UK has been the official charity of the London Winter Run since 2015. Since then, over 100,000 runners have taken part and raised a staggering £4.5 million to help fund life-saving work in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. Half of us will get cancer in our lifetime. All of us can support the research that will beat it.
