Last Call For London Winter Run

All you need to know about London's coolest 10K

London's coolest 10K is just over two weeks away and is very close to reaching capacity. Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 10K takes place on Sunday 5 February and there has been a late surge in demand since the final places were released for general sale.

Last year, on Sunday 13 February, there were 9,000 runners raising funds for Cancer Research UK, adding to the phenomenal total of £4.5 million achieved since the event started in 2015 with in excess of 100,000 people taking part.

The winners last year were Ben Felton (32:14) and Roxanne Heristchian (38:05) showing the course can be fast despite the many distractions of winter-themed characters, on-course musical entertainment, and the capital city's most recognisable landmarks in all their winter glory. Take a look at this short video of the 2019 event to get a feel for the atmosphere...

The Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 26-page event guide tells you all you need to know about the 7th winter edition of this extraordinary event. There will be 10 wave starts in Trafalgar Square this year from 9:30am. Every finisher will receive the newly-designed 2023 medal (pictured above) and an allocated start time with a chip-enabled running bib to ensure an accurate time.

In addition, keen fundraisers can unlock rewards like a tote bag, beanie hat, T-shirt, sweatshirt, and hoodie according to sums raised from £25 for the bag to £500 for all five!

Event organisers Human Race have a fantastic team of volunteers who will help to take the chill off the day by dressing up as Huskies, Polar Bears, Penguins, and many other selfie-worthy characters to keep you motivated throughout. There really is nothing to compare with that warm Polar Bear hug at the finish line!

Public entries are still available from £35 for anyone aged 15-21 to £47.50 for adults. However, enter a team of four and this is reduced to £39 each and as a group of eight the fee is £37 each.

Previous results and event reports can be studied at the runABC South race listing here.
