Glasgow & Edinburgh to UNITE for virtual run
Event organisers call on city dwellers to get outdoors and run next Saturday
Just a few days remain to sign up for a virtual challenge aimed at runners in some of the country’s biggest cities. Fix Events’ ‘UNITED we run’ series aims to motivate runners in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Bristol and Southampton to ‘get out and run and stand united in your health and fitness’.
The event organisers add: "This is all about having a focus, uniting the City and being part of something that is good for all!'
Like Fix Events’ other virtual challenges, there is no cost to enter. Five distance options from 2k right through to marathon are available. Runs can be done anywhere, at any time over the course of Saturday, 20 February 2021. A live leaderboard will help runners track their progress.
For runners looking to bump up their bling, limited-edition medals are available to order for £7 at the time of registration – and now include a free Winter Warmer Buff.
Over 500 runners from the UK, Ireland, Germany, the USA, Poland, Sweden, Australia, Malaysia, Cyprus, Portugal and beyond took part in Fix Events' Tthird World Day of Running Challenge on 23 January.
