The Farnham Pilgrim Marathon and Half Marathon is organised by the Rotary Club of Farnham Weyside in partnership with Farnham Town Running Club. First held in 2010, the event raises funds for local charities while offering two challenging trail races through the outstanding scenery of the Surrey Hills.
The routes follow sections of the Pilgrims Way and North Downs Way, passing historic churches, St Martha's Church, woodland, vineyards, rivers and open countryside. The demanding trails, steep climbs and rewarding views create a memorable off road running experience, with the Half Marathon covering the latter section of the Marathon course.
Professional chip timing, marshals, water stations and a well equipped event village help deliver a high quality race day. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, with refreshments available at the finish and a welcoming atmosphere making the Farnham Pilgrim a popular fixture on the trail running calendar.
