Don't Miss Out On Liverpool's Half
Liverpool half surges past 2,000 entries with eight months still to go...
Excitement is building for one of the north west’s biggest road races, as the 2026 edition of the BTR Liverpool Half Marathon has raced past 2,000 entries with eight months still to go. Taking place on 15 March next year, this will be the 32nd edition of the iconic event, which also features a 10 Mile Road Race option.
Earlier this year, the 2025 edition hit its registration cap of 12,000 runners two months ahead of race day, leaving many hopefuls disappointed. Organisers are urging runners not to delay, as demand is already significantly ahead of schedule and a sell-out is likely to happen even earlier this time around.
With its established and well-loved course, the race showcases some of Liverpool’s most iconic sights, including a grandstand start and finish on the waterfront. The route is popular not only for its atmosphere and scenery, but also as a key part of the build-up to the London Marathon, with many participants using the half marathon to test their form in the final stretch of training.
The 10 mile option, held alongside the half marathon, shares the same start and finish, offering runners a slightly shorter challenge by cutting out the Sefton Park section. Both routes merge on the return toward the waterfront, delivering the same vibrant finish line experience.
With interest growing rapidly and entries quadrupling compared to the same time last year, runners are encouraged to secure their place now to avoid missing out!
