Ribbon Run Comes To Manchester

In-person charity event to launch during Baby Loss Awareness Week...

A new event in the North West is giving runners the chance to support a vital cause and be part of a nationwide movement this October. The Sands Ribbon Run will take place on 11 October at Heaton Park in Manchester, coinciding with Baby Loss Awareness Week.

The event marks the first in-person Ribbon Run to be held in Manchester, with participants invited to run in memory of much-loved babies while raising funds for Sands, the UK charity that supports anyone affected by the death of a baby. The new event complements the popular virtual Ribbon Run, which invites people across the country to complete 5, 10 or 15K in their own time and place throughout the week.

At Heaton Park, runners can choose between a fully chip timed 5K or 10K, with a family-friendly 1K fun run also on offer. Whether you’re chasing a PB or simply want to run with loved ones for a meaningful cause, the event offers something for all abilities.

Taking place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October), Ribbon Run is a chance to remember, reflect, and raise money for Sands. Funds raised from the event will help the charity continue its work to save babies’ lives and provide care and support to anyone affected by baby loss.
