Your Sunday run sorted – with added Prosecco

Edinburgh-based company Run the Sights has organised a series of guided tours of the city – finishing with a glass of bubbly – starting this Sunday, 9 September.

Their ‘Edinburgh Prosecco Running Tours’ – to parts of the capital the tour buses can’t reach – start and finish at The Villager (49 George IV Bridge).

The organisers, who have been running tours in the city since 2015, call their Prosecco Running Tour a ‘magical, sociable, fun and cultural 4.5-mile running tour around Edinburgh’, with lots of stops for information and photo opportunities.

As they explain: “Running tours are the perfect opportunity to keep fit, see the sights and learn a little bit about your surroundings. Our running tours allow you to get your bearings, exercising your heart and brain at the same time.”

“You’ll see more on a running tour than you would on a walking tour, so lace up your trainers and come and Run the Sights!”

Their Prosecco Running Tour costs £20 per runner and finishes off with a glass of prosecco back at The Villager, where guests are more than welcome to stay for food and more drinks.

If craft beer, rather than prosecco, is more your thing, Run the Sights have two dates remaining in their new Craft Beer Running Tour series (3pm, 16 & 23 September).

This 4.5-mile tour of ‘the hidden sites of Edinburgh starts and finishes at the fun and funky BrewDog (Festival Square, Lothian Road, Edinburgh). Friendly banter, fascinating local information, craft beer samples and your own craft beer back at the pub are included in the price.
