Results Organiser
Run Mawnan is a family friendly running event based at Carwinion Playing Field in the Cornish village of Mawnan Smith. The 10K and 5K routes head onto the country roads surrounding the village, passing local landmarks and taking in views towards the Helford River and the attractive countryside of this part of Cornwall.
Runners in both road races initially follow the route through Mawnan Smith towards Trebah Gardens and the turning for Helford Passage. The 5K then returns towards the playing field, while the 10K continues through the countryside around Boskensoe, Tregarne and Penwarne before heading back to the finish. A separate 1 mile Children's Fun Run follows a shorter route past the village primary school and through wooded Carwinion Lane.
The event is organised by Falmouth Rotary to raise funds for charitable causes and has a strong community and family focus. Finishers can receive a medal and goody bag, while the event base features refreshments and other activities for runners, supporters and families, creating a welcoming atmosphere around the start and finish at Carwinion Playing Field.
