Will You Run For The Planet?
Head to Didsbury next month for this eco-friendly charity 5K...
August 6 will see an exciting and eco-friendly charity event take place at Didsbury's River Mersey and the good news is that it includes a 5K race. Run for the Planet hopes to raise awareness about the Plant Based Treaty, which aims to promote a shift to more healthy, sustainable plant-based diets.
So, lace up your running shoes and get ready to make a difference in the beautiful surroundings of the River Mersey; after the run those taking part can relax to the sound of live music and enjoy delicious free vegan food.
This is not a timed run, although all participants will receive a bespoke medal for taking part. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, this run is open to participants of all levels so head along and enjoy running alongside like-minded individuals who share your passion for a greener future.
If you can’t make it but want to participate, then there is the option of a virtual run. All you have to do is buy a virtual run ticket and run or walk at least a 5K route and share on your social media with the tag #A Run For The Planet.
100% of your money raised through ticket sales will go to Whitegate Animal Sanctuay and Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary. If money is an issue, you are welcome to join in and make any donation on the day.
