Richmond RUN-FEST Set For Another Spectacular Weekend
Kew Gardens hosts iconic races...
Richmond RUN-FEST returns on 12 and 13 September 2026, bringing thousands of runners to south west London for one of the UK's most distinctive race weekends. The event features the Richmond 10K, Richmond Half Marathon, Richmond Marathon and Kids' & Family Mile, combining racing, community spirit and a festival atmosphere across two days.
The weekend begins on Saturday with the Richmond 10K, a race staged entirely within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Known for its flat profile and unique setting, the event gives runners the rare opportunity to race through the UNESCO World Heritage Site before finishing back within the gardens. Entries remain available, with organisers reporting the race is around 60% full.
Sunday sees the Richmond Half Marathon and Richmond Marathon take centre stage. Both races start within Kew Gardens before heading out along routes that explore Richmond upon Thames, taking in riverside sections, historic landmarks and stretches alongside the River Thames before finishing at Old Deer Park.
Demand for the longer races continues to be strong. The Richmond Half Marathon and The Richmond Marathon have sold out of general public places, with charity places now the only route into the event.
The Kids' & Family Mile completes the weekend and forms part of RUN-FEST's long standing commitment to encouraging participation among younger runners. More than 1,000 children and families are expected to take part in the various mile races held at Old Deer Park.
What sets Richmond RUN-FEST apart is its combination of world class surroundings and festival atmosphere. The adult races begin within Kew Gardens, while runners finishing at Old Deer Park are welcomed by live entertainment, a fitness expo and a vibrant event village.
From first time 10K runners to experienced marathoners, Richmond RUN-FEST continues to offer one of the most sought after race weekends in the country. With the longer races already limited to charity entries, runners considering the 10K or family event may not want to leave their decision too late.
