Path Of Condie Half Marathon

The Path To Greatness

If it's a tough half marathon you're looking for this autumn, then we've just the test for you...

The tougher the better for some people! Hands up who feels seen? If you like your races to come with a test (or two) then Perthshire's Path of Condie Half Marathon is a fantastic option. Organised by Kinross Road Runners, the event will take place on 26 October in and around Milnathort.

Organisers advise entering early as the popular event is always a sell-out. It may be tough, but its attitude and altitude brings runners back again and again. Organisers say: "It is one of the most rewarding distance runs in the area with frequently changing scenery and gradient. This is definitely a race for the runner that likes to push and challenge themselves and not recommended for a first half marathon or a fun run."

Organisers expect all runners who choose to enter to complete the course in under three hours with no exceptions, so this really is a race for those who have some experience with the distance - not necessarily a great choice for first timers over the 13.1 mile distance.

The race is regarded as one of the most exhilarating runs around Kinross, Milnathort and Loch Leven with the frequently changing scenery and gradient making for a thrilling, challenging and rewarding event.

There were over 130 runners in the 2023 staging, with Ben Kinninmonth of Fife Athletic Club winning the race in a time of 1:18:18. First female, Laura Gibson, was ninth overall. The Fife AC runner clocking a brilliant time of 1:24:49. Both runners came close to the course records which are currently held by Rory Scott 1:17:48 (2022) and Sheena Logan 1:26:26 (2018).
