Twice As Nice In North Lincs
If you fancy a springtime half or 10K, both are taken care of at this North Lincs event...
We're a week into the New Year with routines making a comeback and normality resuming in homes up and down the country. January can be a tough month mentally, but running (as we all know) is a great way to combat low moods. Set a springtime goal now, and you will be motivated to get outside and train for a memorable race day experience.
An ideal springtime event for those looking to challenge themselves is the North Lincolnshire Half Marathon, which also offers a 10K distance if 13.1 miles is just a step too far! In 2024 the event is scheduled for 17 March which is also St Patrick's Day. With this in mind organisers have suggested they have 'a special medal on order to celebrate'.
The flat, fast and friendly race boasts a fabulous finish with a lap inside Quibell Park Athletic Stadium, Scunthorpe and is ideally timed for anyone looking for a good fast early season time.
Speaking about their event, organisers said: "Our race has proved to be extremely popular over the years with many runners achieving a ‘personal’ or ‘age group’ best performance. The final lap on the Quibell Park's running track is always surrounded by lots of spectators to cheer you in which is a real boost when you need it!"
Organisers have designed the event so that both races start and finish in exactly the same place, making for a fantastic post-race atmosphere. The friendly nature of the event and the flat routes make both distances suitable for anyone looking to run either distance for the first time.
