Milnathort Dash

Entries Open Now For Milnathort Dash

This race is short, sharp and a whole lot of fun! But entries are strictly limited, so don't hang about...

Head to Kinross this June for the chance to be crowned King or Queen of the Hill at this ever-popular midweek race. All set for Thursday 27 June, the sell out Milnathort Dash is a 5 mile race which is run on road/farm track. With stunning views, varied terrain and a wee bit of 'undulation'; it'll hurt but leave you wanting a rematch.

Organisers frequently comment: "This is a race that'll steal your heart." And it certainly seems true, as the event is a sell-out year on year.

The race is 5 miles as we already mentioned, but those taking part are also invited to sprint the hill at the start for a chance to be crowned Queen or King of the Hill. That said, there is something to be said for saving something for the mostly downhill second half? Leave the glory for someone else...

There are prizes in all runner categories with prize-giving after the race. For those brave enough to attempt the challenge, the current King and Queen of the Hill records are held by Ben Kinninmonth (01:09) which he set in 2022 and Annabel Simpson (01:18) which she achieved back in 2015.

In 2023 there were over 150 runners, the race was won by Cameron Milne of Central AC in a time of 26:56, while first female was Fife Athletic Club's Laura Gibson in 32:34.
