Run two Maverick Races in a day for a one-off experience
Discounted entry for runners keen to double up.
One trail run is good but two can be even better... Maverick Race offer people the chance to take part in two events in one day and in one location on Saturday 4 December. It is twice the challenge and twice the fun with twice the reward.
Organisers Maverick Race has had to reschedule some of their events due to the current situation. The Maverick Original Oxfordshire and Maverick Dark Oxfordshire will be held on 4 December and whilst runners can do either of these, they can up the ante by completing the double and receive two medals in return.
The daytime event, the Maverick Adidas Terrex Original Oxfordshire has a choice of three new routes – 7km, 11km and 21km, all of which follow well marked trails passing through beautiful woodland at Stoner Park. Participants may get lucky and see fallow deer and/or a red kite on their travels but need to remain observant whilst on the course as there are a few hills and descents to tackle.
Later on it is the turn of the Maverick Exposure Lights Dark Oxfordshire and another three scenic routes – 8km, 15km and 21km. Head torches are required for this event along with a razor sharp focus to avoid any slips or falls whilst running at night. The weather is always a factor and December could be cold and bright, wind and rain or snow and ice so prepare accordingly.
Learn more about the events and enter at the Maverick Race website. There is a 20% discount for runners who sign up for both.
