Celebrating Sweet Success
Organisers of the Manchester Half think you'll be just as buzzed about this year's medal as they are...
This year's Manchester Half Marathon will see more runners than ever taking part in the popular north west event on 13 October. Well known for its flat PB friendly course, captivating on-route entertainment, and enthusiastic supporters it will come as no surprise that it is a sell out well in advance of race day - that said, if you are keen to run there are still associate charity places available.
And when you see the newly revealed finisher's medal, it is even more likely you will want to be a part of the 2024 event! Featuring the iconic symbol of the Manchester worker bee, the medal is a bold and beautiful piece of bling.
A spokesperson from the race said: "After an exhilarating photoshoot at a real-life hive, you can now behold the bold beauty that is the official 2024 finisher’s medal. Featuring honeycombed-inspired geometric patterns and the emblematic Manchester worker bee, the buzzed-up bling proves that hard work pays off!"
24,000 Manchester Half participants will get their mitts on their medal bling as they cross the finish line this October. With a record number of participants registered to take part, the day is set to be one to remember.
Human Race's Andrew Smith said: “It will be another record-breaking turnout at the Manchester Half this October. That’s testament to the reputation it has garnered, and the huge desire people have to run through this magnificent city. We’re incredibly proud of the event and the sense of community it fosters. It’s not just about the event itself; it’s about bringing people together, promoting health and wellbeing, and supporting charitable causes”.
