Liverpool Half Medals

Liverpool's Day Of Celebrations

There are two reasons to celebrate in Liverpool on 17 March...

Merseyside's longest established road race will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, but that's not the only reason organiser, BTR Liverpool, has cause for celebration as they announced this week that entry numbers for the Liverpool Half Marathon and 10 Mile are selling fast.

A spokesperson commented: "2024 entries are flying in with 6,000 taken already. Yes it's looking like an amazing day is in store for all those taking part on Sunday 17 March. "The race limit of 7,500 is fast approaching so if you would like to take part then don't leave it to the last minute."

In recent years the event has settled down to use an established course, which boasts a grandstand start and finish on the city’s iconic and world-famous waterfront. Set against a backdrop of the Three Graces, which includes the Royal Liver Building which really is a stunning setting. There is also a 10 mile race held in conjunction with the half marathon which sets off at the same time and finishes in the same location.

2024's medals have also just been revealed and have a striking black, white and green colourway similar to the race t-shirts and hoodies which are already available to purchase.

Adding to 2024's celebrations, race day is also St. Patrick's Day. Organisers say: "We have a new 'celebration partner' to mark the occasion. Local gin distiller, Turncoat, are producing a bespoke gin for the event and you can purchase a bottle then have your finishing time engraved on the bottle.

"We've also got The Big Bobble Hat Company coming along with a special St. Patrick's Day inspired bobble hat... it's still March remember so it may come in handy!"
