Norwich Half Marathon pacers 2024

Last Call For Norwich Half

Capacity field anticipated for the return of this Norfolk classic...

The Pacers are ready. The road closure warning signs are out. It can only mean the return of the Larking Gowen Norwich Half Marathon is imminent. Larking Gowen – one of the largest chartered accountants and business advisory firms in Norwich, Suffolk, and Essex – is the headline sponsor of the revival of the race previously organised by City of Norwich AC.

This runABC Featured Race is on Sunday 24 November 2024 and the organising race management company Good Running Events tells us the race is: '99% full'. The race will start and finish at Norfolk Showground and the event features fully closed roads. The course will be well marshalled and is clearly signposted.

The accurately measured 13.1 mile, single-lap route will take in Easton, Colton, and Barnham Broom, before returning to Norfolk Showground via Marlingford and Bawburgh. The Pacers will be bolstered on the day by a team of 20 experienced runners covering target times from 1:30:00 to 2:45:00 and they will be running even splits to help many of the 4,000 entrants to PBs.

The deadline for transfers and deferrals has passed as the race packs are now being processed and posted and all places are finalised. Charity partners for the new event include Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity; Break Changing Young Lives; EACH East Anglia's Children's Hospices; Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity and Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford & District.

Early entrants have benefitted from a free training plan and all runners will enjoy chip timing; water stations; medical support; an event village; post-race refreshments and an awesome medal.

Race details are available via the runABC race listing here and the final few entries are being taken by Total Race Timing services here
