Hop over to Australia on this bonzer virtual run
Jump to it and conquer Australia for this third virtual run in the 'Continents' series.
A bespoke antipodean medal is the reward for runners who complete this third virtual event in the series from Mash Running. They aim to have a ripper of a run as they visit Australia - the latest stop on the ‘Conquer the Continents’ virtual world tour.
Whilst flights to Down Under are still grounded due to the coronavirus outbreak, Mash Running invites you to join them on their global virtual challenge: Australia and run, walk, cycle 5 miles in your outback, garden or on a treadmill and receive a highly collectable themed medal in return. Swimming is also acceptable.
As with the other two continents, the distance can be broken down into chunks so laps of the garden counts as do short, one or two mile runs. It is a matter of personal choice. Remember to record your run/runs, walk, cycle etc and submit this evidence to Mash Running and don’t forget to take a selfie and attach this to your email. If you want to do more than 5 miles then no worries; complete your chosen distance and submit evidence as stipulated.
Lockdown restrictions are gradually easing but continue to follow government guidelines and stay close to home, avoid large gatherings and maintain social distancing.
The first two continents in the series: North America and Africa were conquered by a good many runners and this latest, Australia, is shaping up to be a bonzer of a run. Run the distance and then if this fine weather continues, throw another shrimp on the barbie...
