Great Run Solo April challenge will keep you on track for future tests

April Accumulator will keep you on rack for big summer ahead

British Summer Time (BST) begins at 1:00am on Sunday (28 March) and to welcome the bright evenings ahead Great Run Solo is launching its April Accumulator. This follows December Accumulator, January Log 21 and February 14, which all provided good mileage targets for calendar months.

Now as we head for mid-spring and look towards a real-world events calendar this summer, Great Run Solo's four level April challenges will keep runners focussed and in-shape for much-anticipated races ahead. Or simply to be in decent shape to post a good parkrun time in June or July.

There's a seasonal dimension to the virtual event with an Easter-themed challenge to achieve the ‘sweet 16’ – complete 16 (or more) runs in April. Your reward? ... a cracking medal!

You can choose April targets from 26.32 to 125 miles:

  • It's A Marathon Not A Sprint – 26.2 miles
  • You're A Good Egg – 50 miles
  • Spring Chicken – 75 miles
  • Golden Egg – 125 miles

The challenge starts on 1 April and finishes on 30 April, making it the perfect run buddy to keep you moving through the month. Depending on the distance you cover, you will awarded a bespoke digital finishers certificate to download and share.

There is also a challenge for junior runners aged 14 years and under, so the whole family can get involved!  The Spring Chicks challenge is for ages 9 & under, and The Good Eggs challenge is for ages 10 to 14 years.
