Join 6,000 plus in historic Windsor Great Park
Windsor Running Festival entries are now open for 2021
After a Covid-enforced absence of a year, the immensely popular Windsor Running Festival is back with a bang on 25-26 September 2021. The 17th Running4Women Windsor Women's 10K will take centre stage in Windsor Great Park on Saturday while the 38th Windsor Half Marathon is the headline act on Sunday.
With the 2020 Windsor Running Festival scrapped, the titleholder from 2019 is Charlotte Taylor-Green (Bristol & West, 35:58) in both the 10K and half marathon (1:16:52) – described as 'indefatigable' by our reporter in this post-race report
There were a record 1,600 finishers in the women's 10K and 3,861 completed Windsor Half Marathon in 3:28:58 – chasing the rapidly disappearing shadow of Bristol & West's Daniel Studley (1:07:47).
All 2020 entrants have been transferred to the deferred dates; the medals have been designed; race permits applied for and the Government's roadmap towards the lifting of most remaining Covid-19 restrictions by June is proceeding smoothly.
The race setting in front of Windsor Castle is simply majestic and the course that winds through historic Windsor Great Park is undulating, challenging, and always captivating.
Despite the transfer of 2020 entries, there are still spaces available for both these major events. For full race information and entry details visit Windsor Women's 10K here and for Windsor Half Marathon details and a brief video of the 2019 race click here
