Brodie Castle 10K

An earlier date in the race calendar for this Moray favourite...

It's a new date but the same stunning setting for this year’s Brodie Castle 10K. Traditionally held in November, the event will now take place slightly earlier in October once again featuring a fairytale finishline.

Previously known as the Dyke 10K, the race follows much of its classic route, but with a significant upgrade to its start and finish location. Runners begin and end their journey in the spectacular grounds of Brodie Castle, a 16th century National Trust for Scotland property and ancestral home of the Brodie clan for over 400 years.

Set against a backdrop of gentle Moray countryside, the course offers a scenic and memorable experience for all taking part. While the full route will be officially measured over the summer, organisers note there may be a few minor tweaks to ensure the best possible experience.

One of the highlights of the day will come in the final mile, as runners enter the grounds of the castle and make their way toward the finish line directly in front of the historic building. It promises a fantastic photo opportunity and a truly grand finale to the race.

Every finisher will receive a medal or memento, and post-race refreshments will be available from the castle’s on-site coffee shops. A spokesperson for Forres Harriers said: “We don’t think that there are many events in the country that offer the runner a better view as they race towards a race finish line - a tree-lined route to a picturesque castle in lovely grounds.”
