This relates to: North Lanarkshire Half Marathon
There's still time to secure your place at the North Lanarkshire Half Marathon, with entries remaining open for one of Scotland's biggest community running events on Sunday 23 August 2026.
Hosted by RUN NL and sponsored by Albert Bartlett, the event once again promises a full day of running and family entertainment centred around Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility. Alongside the Half Marathon, runners can also enter the officially chip timed 5K, while younger participants have their own 1K, 400m and Toddler Dash races to enjoy.
Whether you're aiming for a Half Marathon personal best or looking to complete your first organised race, the event offers an inclusive atmosphere backed by professional race organisation. Both the Half Marathon and 5K start and finish at Ravenscraig, with participants receiving a unique finisher's medal along with post race refreshments.
The celebrations extend well beyond the finish line. A lively Family Fun Zone featuring live entertainment, food vendors, face painting, inflatable attractions and a range of sporting activities makes the event an enjoyable day out for runners, families and supporters alike.
If you're still building towards the Half Marathon, RUN NL's dedicated 10 week training programme is available to help participants prepare with confidence, whatever their level of experience.
With race day fast approaching and entries continuing to be accepted, now is an ideal time to make the North Lanarkshire Half Marathon part of your late summer running calendar. Whether you're taking on 13.1 miles, the 5K or bringing the whole family along, it's shaping up to be another memorable day at Ravenscraig.
