Boundary Way Celebrates 30 Years
This multi terrain half (and a bit) is a real springtime special...
West Yorkshire's Baildon Boundary Way celebrates 30 years in 2025 with celebrations set to take place at this year's outing on 6 April. With organisers billing it as: 'possibly the greatest multi terrain half in the country' there are clearly a couple of great reasons for making this year the year you secure a spot!
Baildon's own Trail Half Marathon (and a bit) encompasses some challenging terrain around the beautiful town and surrounding countryside through a mix of woodlands, moorlands and rolling countryside with breathtaking views guaranteed.
The race is in fact a little more than 13.1 miles, organisers explain: "We had to introduce a diversion to the course in 2022 due to construction work on the canal towpath which added extra mileage.
"This diversion proved popular with runners as it broke up the long rather soulless stretch along the towpath and so we have retained the diversion for the past two years and intend to keep it for the foreseeable future."
There will be three water stations on the course and refreshments will be available before and after the race in the club house. All finishers will receive a memento and if you are lucky, you may get a ‘spot prize’.
In 2024 conditions were wet and blustery around the race headquarters with a morning of mixed weather conditions. The overall race winner was Jack Cummings in a time of 01:24:49 while first female over the line was Emma Clayton in 01:42:07.
