7 Pools Back In Sutton Park...
Dive into an iconic West Midlands event this March...
There's still time to be a part of the 7 Pools Run, described as a 'distinguished 10K cross country challenge' and set in and around leafy Sutton Coldfield.
The race boasts a history of over 25 years and in 2024 will take place on 17 March. Runners will compete on an undulating, multi-terrain course in Sutton Park. One of the biggest urban parks in Europe, it covers around 2,400 acres of National Nature Reserve and includes seven man-made pools around which the course is set.
Speaking about their event, organisers told us: "This event isn't just about the thrill of the race; it's also deeply intertwined with a charitable mission. Participants run in support of the Kids charity, dedicated to aiding disabled children in England.
"As runners navigate the scenic terrains, they're also contributing to a noble cause, making each step more impactful. Whether you're an avid runner or someone seeking a meaningful endeavor, the 7 Pools Run offers both challenge and purpose."
The 7 Pools Run garners a diverse group of participants, each bringing their unique energy and pace to the race. Organisers say: "Amongst our esteemed participants, we have dedicated runners affiliated with esteemed running clubs, constantly pushing their boundaries and aiming to set new records.
"On the other end of the spectrum, we have the heartwarming sight of participants who approach the 7 Pools Run with a more relaxed philosophy. They’re here to revel in the journey, absorb the serenity of Sutton Park, and cross the finish line at their own pace."
So, whatever level of runner you are, there is a space for you at this cross country event. If you'd like to know more, visit the 7 Pools Run website.
