Worcester Ring Run

Running Rings Around Worcester!

This event combines scenic routes and a genuine challenge, attracting participants who want to test themselves while enjoying the great outdoors...

The Worcester Ring Run will return for its eighth edition in 2025, offering runners a 23-mile tour of Worcester and Droitwich, and this year it comes with a brand-new venue. For the first time, the event will be hosted at Droitwich Rugby Club, providing upgraded facilities and a perfect base for what has become a much-loved date in the West Midlands running calendar.

The route follows a clockwise loop, starting along the Droitwich Canal before joining the Worcester & Birmingham Canal and heading towards the city. From there, runners cross Diglis Bridge, pass through Worcester Racecourse at Pitchcroft, follow the riverside path, and then head north along the Droitwich Canal to the finish.

Organisers, Pulse Events, say: "Most of the course is traffic-free, with only short sections on quiet roads and tarmac lanes, making it a safe and picturesque run."

Participants can tackle the full distance solo or split the effort in a relay pair. In the relay format, the first runner covers the opening 10 miles before handing over at Diglis for their teammate to complete the final 13 miles. Whether running alone or as part of a team, everyone will be working towards the same reward, the satisfaction of completing a stunning canal and riverside circuit, plus a special finishers’ medal and coaster.

Droitwich Rugby Club will serve as the event hub, offering changing rooms, showers, toilets and refreshments, while category prizes will be up for grabs, including real ale from sponsors Teme Valley Brewery.
