Uphill to Wells is a 29 mile off road relay following the West Mendip Way from Uphill Beach to Wells Cathedral, with five stages through the Mendip countryside.

Uphill to Wells is a 29 mile relay from Uphill Beach to Wells Cathedral, following the West Mendip Way through the Mendip countryside. Around 90% of the route is off road, using footpaths and bridleways with approximately 3,259 feet of climbing.
Teams of two to five runners complete five stages between Uphill, Loxton, Shipham, Cheddar, Priddy and Wells. Teams can divide the stages between runners or complete the whole route together, with participants responsible for learning and navigating the route.
The event uses staggered starts to bring teams into Wells at a similar time, with checkpoints, water stations and first aid support along the course. The finish is on Cathedral Green in front of Wells Cathedral, where runners are welcomed with tea and cakes.
