C2C Essex Ultra

The c2c Essex Ultra is a multi distance endurance event following the Thames eastwards along the Essex Riviera. Runners and walkers can choose from 10 mile, 30 mile and 50 mile challenges, with each distance starting at a different location before heading towards the finish.

The 50 mile route starts at Upminster Station, the 30 mile route begins in Tilbury and the 10 mile route starts at Benfleet Station. The courses use sections of the London Loop and England Coast Path, with mainly tarmac underfoot and some hard trail sections through urban areas, marshland and along the riverbank.

Organised by c2c with XNRG, the event raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK, with entry fees donated to the charity. Participants also receive free travel on the c2c rail route to and from the event by presenting their race number.
