The One In The park Richmond November 2026 Preview

London Running On The Wild Side

The One In The Park Richmond returns on 29 November with a Half Marathon and 10K swapping flat city streets for the trails and rolling terrain of Richmond Park...

London has no shortage of fast, flat races. The One In The Park Richmond is offering something rather different on Sunday 29 November.

Starting near Sheen Gate, the Half Marathon and 10K head onto the mixed-terrain paths and trails of Richmond Park, trading city streets for woodland and open parkland in one of London's great green spaces.

And anyone arriving with perfectly even splits in mind might need to adjust their expectations. OneRace describes this as a race where runners should forget chasing a perfectly flat course, find their rhythm and embrace the changing terrain.

The Half Marathon measures 21.3K with 219m of elevation gain, giving runners a substantial late-autumn challenge. Both distances start at 9:30am, with chip timing, race photography, a finisher's medal and refreshments waiting at the other end.

There is also the small matter of the neighbours. Richmond Park is home to more than 630 free-roaming red and fallow deer, which have lived in the park since 1637. Runners might spot them around the park, although The Royal Parks asks visitors to keep at least 50 metres away.

This is an established fixture rather than a first experiment with trail running in Richmond. The November event was held in both 2024 and 2025, while OneRace also staged its Richmond Half Marathon and 10K here in June this year.

Entries remain open for November, with places available in both distances.

For runners who like their London races with fewer buildings, more trails and the possibility of a deer watching from a very respectful distance, Richmond offers a rather different capital outing.

You can enter this race now via the runABC race hub.
