A Mo With A Sea View
Whitstable & Herne Bay MoRun brings moustaches and four running distances to the Kent coast on 7 November in support of Movember...
This relates to: MoRun Whitstable & Herne Bay
There are worse places to grow a moustache than beside the sea. Whitstable & Herne Bay MoRun returns on Saturday 7 November with four distances and the serious business of supporting men's health behind the usual MoRunning fun.
The event has plenty of history on the Kent coast. Official results stretch back to 2018, with the only missing year being 2020 when MoRunning's live events became virtual.
For 2026, runners can choose the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon, while children have a fully chip-timed 1.5K Mini MoRun. All are based at Hampton Pier Recreation Ground in Herne Bay, with the predominantly hard-surface course following the seafront.
The format is refreshingly simple. The 5K heads out to a turnaround at 2.5K, while 10K runners continue to the 5K point before returning. Half marathon runners begin with an additional 1.1K section before tackling the 10K out-and-back twice.
The Half Marathon starts at 9:30am, followed by the 10K at 9:55am, 5K at 10:05am and Mini MoRun at 11:30am.
This is MoRunning, though, so finishing times aren't the only route to a prize. There's a fancy dress showdown before the racing begins, while special MoMedals are available for the fastest MoBro and MoSista, best dressed, best Mo and other standout performances.
Entries are open but places are limited. Real moustache, painted moustache or no moustache at all, the important bit is getting moving for Movember.
