Don't Bottle It At Richmond
Medals that open bottles are among the special touches at RUN-FEST
"Richmond's so fast...even the Thames runs through it!"
They do love to run a pun at GoFundMe Richmond RUN-FEST and this year's tech tees will carry this excruciating example! And all finishers will receive the brilliant, event-specific, bottle-opener medals pictured above.
This is the 11th anniversary of Richmond RUN-FEST and the tried and tested programme of Richmond 10K, Richmond Half Marathon, Richmond Marathon, and WWF Kid's and Family Mile races will again be slickly delivered by Tom, Jade, Euan and the experienced RUN-FEST team on 9-10 September 2023 – in just 50 days time.
Saturday 9 September is set aside for Richmond 10K, which is held wholly inside the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, while Sunday 10 September will see the remaining events start from Kew Gardens or the nearby Old Deer Park, where the Kid's and Family Mile races are held and the legendary music stage and fitness expo are hosted.
Unique to Richmond RUN-FEST is the Goddess of Victory Challenge. Run any two events (the Kew Gardens 10K, plus either the half marathon or marathon) over the weekend and you will be rewarded with a bespoke, additional Goddess of Victory medal and the top three men and women will be awarded free entry into any RUN-FEST event in 2024, including Kew The Run in March and Worthing RUN-FEST in April.
Typically, Richmond RUN-FEST attracts up to 10,000 runners and events sell out. Richmond Marathon standard public entries are all sold but there are some charity places still available. The race starts within Kew Gardens and the course runs through Hampton Court Palace! With three famous bridges, a Royal Palace, and one iconic river this race has been described as the world's most scenic marathon.
