London's running clubs and crews are being challenged to settle an intriguing question at Finsbury Park on Saturday 3 October: which of them is the fastest?

Endure Relays London, presented by Sportsshoes, returns with a four hour team challenge from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Male, female and mixed teams will take turns on the course, completing as many laps as possible before the clock runs out.

There is more than bragging rights at stake. A £2,700 prize pot will see every member of the winning male, female and mixed teams receive £150 in Sportsshoes vouchers, providing an extra incentive for clubs and crews to assemble their strongest squads.

They have some impressive targets to chase. Last year's men's competition was led by Run M.O.D.E with 28 laps, while Camino Ultra completed 27 to win the mixed category and Fast & Loopy took the women's title with 26. The fastest individual lap was 7 minutes and 43 seconds. With organisers promising a flatter and faster course for 2026, those benchmarks could come under pressure.

The event is not solely aimed at runners chasing the podium. Friendship groups and social running crews can take on the same four hour format, with the relay structure giving everyone time to race, recover and support their teammates.

More than 1,000 runners and 250 teams have already participated in Endure Relays events across London, Birmingham and Manchester over the past year. At Finsbury Park, racing will again be accompanied by a race village with music, food, drink and shopping.

London already runs together in hundreds of different clubs and crews. On 3 October, Endure Relays gives them the opportunity to race each other too.
