Bearwood Trail 10K Race

Still Time To Join Bearwood Trail Series

There's still time to join Bearwood Trail Series, with two events still to come this August...

A new trail race series for Herefordshire got underway earlier this week with race 1 of the Bearwood Trail 10K series taking place on 1 August. Speaking post event, organisers commented: "A fantastic first race of our new for this year Bearwood 10K cross country series last night. Thanks to Ed & Eve for hosting us at Bearwood Farm."

Sam Juson Croft Ambrey RC won the race in 37:08:83 while first female home was Joanne Tilby Croft Ambrey RC in 48:20:43 with close to 100 taking part in total. If you missed this one then fear not, entries are open for the two remaining events which are set to take place on 15 and 29 August.

This three-race series is billed as laid-back and low-key with the three trail races taking place deep in the glorious Herefordshire countryside. The undulating 3m wide trail skirts field boundaries, passes through woods and offers runners different types of surfaces from grassy verges to farm tracks and woodland rides. The views are pretty spectacular too, looking towards Hergest Ridge in one direction, to Clee Hill in the other.

Organisers say: "These races are on a flat and fast two lap course in wonderful countryside. Priced at an affordable level. Ideal for newbies and speedy types - and cheap as chips. Come and go as you please. Run one, two or three."
