The ASICS Manchester Half is one of the UK's largest Half Marathons, bringing tens of thousands of runners onto closed roads through Greater Manchester.
Starting and finishing in the Old Trafford area, the flat 13.1 mile course takes runners through communities across Trafford and Manchester. The fast profile and absence of major hills make it particularly popular with runners chasing a personal best, while its scale and welcoming atmosphere also attract thousands taking on their first Half Marathon.
Runners are chip timed and start in waves according to expected finish time. Huge crowds, cheer zones, DJs and live performances create an energetic atmosphere around the course, with extensive event support provided throughout. The race is licensed by England Athletics and held under UK Athletics rules.
