Manchester's Running Fever
Demand for adidas Manchester Marathon and Manchester Half entries reaches record high...
Anticipation for the adidas Manchester Marathon and Manchester Half 2024 can be described as nothing short of electric with demand for these two events having hit an all-time high and promising to make 2024 their biggest yet.
The buzz surrounding both races has been fuelled by the triumph of spring's adidas Manchester Marathon and the swift sell-out of the Manchester Half, which unfolded on Sunday (15 October). The 13.1-mile challenge, witnessed a remarkable 16,500 runners seizing the opportunity, cementing its status as the biggest half marathon in Manchester.
But it's not just about the numbers; it's the exceptional organisation, the flat courses, and incredible support that keeps runners raving. Andrew Smith, CEO of event organisers, Human Race, said: “Our Manchester running events are now firmly established as among the best in the country.
"The Marathon is the second largest in the UK and will continue to grow and attract all types of runners and some of the best talent. The city itself is known for its phenomenal support and our events get livelier and more successful year on year”.
With Limited Launch Entries for the Manchester Half selling quickly and the full marathon boasting over 21,500 eager participants already, Andrew acknowledged that it's going to be a busy year for the team: "But our dedication to delivering outstanding running events that welcome everyone and capture the attention of international and elite athletes remains unwavering."
