The TCS London Marathon is one of the world's great city marathons, following an iconic 26.2 mile course from Greenwich through the heart of the capital to The Mall.
For 2027, the event takes place across Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April, with 100,000 participants running the traditional course across the two days. The elite men's race takes place on Saturday and the elite women's race on Sunday, with mixed mass participation fields on both days.
Runners pass landmarks including the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf before following the Thames through central London. The final miles pass the Tower of London and Houses of Parliament before the famous finish on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace. Huge crowds, live music and entertainment create an extraordinary atmosphere throughout the route.
